Free Cancer Ribbon Tattoos Given Out at Whitehall Tattoo Parlor

Posted in : Tattoos

(added few years ago!)

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and on Saturday, people touched by the disease gritted their teeth and braced themselves for a permanent tribute. Showtime Tattoo, located on 3rd Street in Whitehall Township, Lehigh County gave away free ribbon tattoos throughout the day. At times, the line for a free tat went out the door.

The tattoos started with pink, the color for breast cancer awareness ribbons, but by the end of the day - artists were inking people with all sorts of colors, representing various forms of cancer. LORI BETZ, BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR: "I think it's wonderful, it means a lot. I also have my daughter here, she's gonna get one. It means a lot to see everyone out here."
